After last year’s successful Showcase event the Regal Community Theatre, in association with the Bathgate Music Festival, are pleased to announce a further Showcase for 2012. The event is to be held on 6th September, and will feature some of West Lothian’s best and newest talent.

Glasgow singer songwriter Nick Bruce is a musician in a class of his own. Mixing together elements of rock, funk, blues, pop and folk with one common thread: hooks. Hooks and lead melodies that have the potential to stick in your head for all eternity.

Music Festival Showcase
An evening of entertainment featuring a selection of West Lothian’s finest talent. After two audition events a panel of judges make the final selection on who would be showcased. Supported by WESLO Housing Management.

Remembering Lonnie Donegan
Skiffle, a raw blend of blues and folk music with roots in black America, was a music craze that swept Britain in the late 1950’s. Its undisputed king was Lonnie Donegan, the first British artist to conquer the US pop charts and the herald of a new age in British pop.

One Night Only
The first ever annual show performed by the students of Vikki Rees School of Performance. A showcase of everything from ballet to hip hop, tap to cheer, followed by a performance of an original musical written by the students named “Glamagimimedots”.
