Things to do in West Lothian Scotland

Cycling

Cycling

Cycling is one of the most affordable, healthiest and environmentally-friendly ways of travelling.   In towns and for short distances it is often also the quickest way of getting around. Whether for commuting, leisure or sport, cycling is an efficient and enjoyable activity that allows you to get from A to B quickly and cheaply, and get the recommended 30 minutes of daily activity at the same time. It is also suitable for all ages and abilities

Events

West Lothian offers visitors a whole host of events and activities to enjoy. You will find a busy programme of events taking place in most local towns - from Book Festivals, Highland Games & Music Festivals.  In addition, you can enjoy a wide range of music and performances all year round at both The Howden Park Centre in Livingston and The Regal Community Theatre in Bathgate.

Sports & Leisure

If you're feeling active, you'll find plenty to keep you busy during a visit to West Lothian.  Low Port Centre is the perfect place to set sail, or why not try your hand at golf at Kingsfield Golf Centre, Deer Park Golf & Country Club or a dozen other golf courses in the area. We have plentiful leisure pursuits to offer anyone in search of adventure or relaxation.

Walking

Whether you're in the mood for a gentle stroll or something a little more taxing, West Lothian and the surrounding area won't disappoint. Saunter along the canal side, take a walk through our woodlands and country parks or set your sights a little higher. The views from the Bathgate Hills are worth the hike, and the Pentland Hills offer more than 100km of signposted trails to explore.
