Started in 1844, the Bathgate and John Newland Festival is a true celebration of Bathgate’s history!
The teams will include an All Star Celebrity team made up with stars of television, stage, the arts and sport versus boys from local company VION Foods. The VION Foods team will include 2 guest players in Jose Quitongo (Hearts Legend) and Stefano Salvatori, an ex Milan and Fiorentina as well as a player in the Heart of Midlothian cup winning team of 1998).
This historic event has taken place for many hundreds of years originating from a time when it was vital for a community to make sure that its boundaries were intact. The event takes place on the first Tuesday after the second Thursday each year.
