The Hopetoun International Horse Trials Preview
Last week Anna and I were invited for a sneak preview of the forthcoming Hopetoun International Horse Trials, a major new event taking place on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July 2011.
It’s always nice to take a trip to Hopetoun House and last Monday was no exception. It was the first time I had been inside Hopetoun House, in previous visits i’ve always gone to walk around the gardens or see their annual fireworks display. I was amazed by how beautiful it is.
We only had a few minutes before the Horse Trial Preview began, but it was enough time to have a quick look around. It certainly left me wanting to return so i could get a chance to visit every room. We’ll definitely go back so we can record a longer video of Hopetoun which we can share with you here. I have never been to any kind of horse trial event before, so getting close to the fences as the horses jumped was a great experiences for me.
The Horse Trial event includes a packed programme of entertainment and attractions as well as the eventing side. Day tickets are £15 per person on the gate, but if you book before the 23rd of July you only pay £10. A big saving so well worth buying early. In addition, we were really impressed to see that kids under 14 years go free! So you’ll be able to bring the whole family, and their friends!Tickets can be bought online until Saturday 23rd July from Ticketmaster
Weekend Passes can also be bought for £20 per person and will include a free return visit to Hopetoun House – valid until September 2012.
There will be a £5 charge for car parking, payable on the day. If you buy a weekend pass however, you will only require to purchase one car parking pass for the weekend.
