Press Release: West Lothian Welcomes The Latest Tourism Technology
West Lothian’s best known tourist spots have installed state of the art interactive touch screens. Designed in Scotland to give people on the move information about the places to see and visit in the local area.
The new interactive screens, named the ADS iSigns, will be situated at some of West Lothian’s top attractions including; Almond Valley Heritage Centre, the Mercure Hotel, Five Sisters Zoo, the Livingston Designer Outlet and The Centre, Livingston.
The iSign, which is Scotland’s only interactive information network providing direct marketing for local businesses, is a platform for local businesses to advertise up to date information which visitors can then access and explore when visiting top West Lothian locations.
Each screen displays content for its specific location but all iSigns are linked, allowing business listings to be visible to iSign’s entire network, which is targeted at over 23 million people, nationally and regionally through their carefully selected high footfall venues.
Erica Cromar from ADS iSign said: “The iSign is a visitor friendly, digital information board. We measure the number of enquiries at each machine and tell you how many times your ad has been viewed. We also teach you how to improve these numbers. In 2012 some businesses received over 15,000 enquiries on our screens. iSign is a cost effective and verifiable means of reaching potential customers!”
James Bailey, Chair of Visit West Lothian said: “The ADS iSigns provide a unique platform to showcase West Lothian as a visitor destination both locally and across Scotland. They offer visitors to West Lothian useful tourist information in some of our most popular sites and provide a presence for West Lothian businesses in some of our highest footfall venues using the latest user friendly technology.”
