For those looking to gift their loved ones something a little bit different this year Hopetoun Christmas Shopping Fair, 15 – 17 November, is the perfect place to go. Enjoy some festive browsing while soaking up the brilliant atmosphere, with over 60 stands offering a range of high quality original gifts. The Centre, Livingston, is hosting Step Into Christmas, on 14 November, with a host of events from a magic of light display, to musical entertainment from Little Eye, The Ganda Boys and Slam drumming team.

With free entry, guests of all ages can enjoy the annual street and craft fair before taking in the Grand Torchlight Procession. Experience the ultimate Christmas pantomime and join Sleeping Beauty and the gang for a magical show like no other. Craft lovers will enjoy the Christmas carving session, 1 December, at Howden Park Centre, where you can learn to sculpt a Christmas scene out of wood.
For those wanting to try their hand at Christmas decorations West Lothian Countryside Service has events running 2pm – 3.30pm, in all 3 Country Parks. Crafty Christmas at Polkemmet Country Park on Saturday 7 December, at Almondell & Calderwood Country Park on Sunday 8 December and at Beecraigs Country Park on Saturday 14 December, booking essential. On Sunday 28 December experience the peaceful winter wonderland of Beecraigs Country Park on their Wintery Guided Walk, and learn all about the wildlife and history of the Park. Beecraigs’ also starts its annual xmas tree sales from the 29 November. The 4 star Beecraigs Caravan Site is one of the sites in West Lothian that remains open all year so if you fancy a break over the festive period do get in touch.
