    • There’s nothing like a departure by steam, climb aboard a wonderfully restored carriage and enjoy a scenic five mile journey to Manuel.

      Make a stop at Kinneil Halt to explore the local Nature Reserve and take a walk to Kinneil House, Museum and Estate and the remains of the Roman Antonine Wall.

      Bring your picnic and stop off at Birkhill to enjoy the picturesque surroundings of this countryside station.

      Follow the new Visitor Trail to the Museum of Scottish Railways, Scotland’s largest railway museum, and see more of what happens around the site.
      Open 7 days a week April to October, you can take a fantastic journey into the past and explore three large buildings filled with locomotives, carriages, wagons and other railway artefacts. See Scotland’s only Royal Saloon coach, learn why the fish van has a sloping floor, come face to face with a mechanical horse and much more.

    • By car – Bo’ness Station is in the town centre and has lots of free parking. M9 J5 or J3 then follow the brown tourist signs to Bo’ness & the railway.

      By train and bus – Plusbus tickets are available for rail travel to Linlithgow, which is the nearest mainline station, and bus to Bo’ness. There are also direct buses to Bo’ness from Edinburgh, Bathgate & Falkirk.
