    In order to get a full feel of the battle, start your day by walking down Linlithgow high street. Visit the town's heritage museum - Annet House, to find out more about the history of the ancient burgh. Next take a wander to the iconic remains of Linlithgow Palace, full of history you can't help walk in the footsteps of royalty, as the Palace in the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots.

    Then hop on a bus, car or walk the two miles to Linlithgow Bridge following the well trodden path of many armies throughout history. Remember your strudy boots, waterproofs, midge cream and at least two hours to complete this trail.
