Hopetoun Bonfire & Fireworks Night 2017

Hopetoun Bonfire & Fireworks Night
  • Hopetoun Bonfire & Fireworks Night
  • Hopetoun Bonfire & Fireworks Night
  • Taking place at Hopetoun House the event builds on Hopetoun's reputation for putting on spectacular outdoor events and firework displays.

With Scotland’s finest stately home providing the backdrop for the display the evening will feature plenty of family entertainment. With prizes for the best Halloween costumes and a variety of fairground rides there’s plenty to keep the little ones entertained and plenty of hot food for sale to feed the family.

The fabulous finale of fireworks will conclude the evening set to a selection of ‘terrifyingly’ good songs.

Dress appropriately for the weather and make sure you are warm and dry. Parking and some activities are on grass and therefore sturdy footwear is advised.

  • By Car

Please follow the event signage off the A904 to access the event by car and do not follow the usual brown tourist signs to Hopetoun House. Please note that parking is on grass and low clearance vehicles are not recommended for this event. For your safety please follow event signage and instructions from marshals at all times and be aware of moving vehicles.

We recommend you allow a minimum of 15 minutes additional journey time to allow for traffic management and parking.

    Disabled Access

Blue badge owners must use the event access route via Abercorn Road (next to Newton off the A904). When entering the venue please have your badge displayed in the car front window and ask stewards to direct you to the disabled parking area. Once parked disabled access to the event will be separate from the main gate and situated at the Ballroom gate. There will be hard surface access to the DJ stage, food stalls, bonfire and fireworks display area.

    By Public Transport

Hopetoun House is 3 miles from the nearest bus on the Forth Road Bridge or South Queensferry and is 4 miles from Dalmeny train station.

Visitors can arrive by foot along the Shore Road and through the main gate but please note that this road is not lit and very dark. It is closed to traffic during the event with the exception of emergency vehicles so please use a torch if you plan to walk in this way.

    Taxis

Anyone arriving at the event by taxi should follow the special event signage for drop off point via banks road. Please advise your driver he has to drop you off at the designated taxi drop off zones.
