Parkhead House offers a unique overnight cottage stay with the added benefit of welcoming hosts and a great Scottish breakfast. 

The cottage offers two private suites, on the ground floor our Iona suite (for two) with bedroom (can be twin or double), shower room and its own private sitting room/breakfast room, all with wonderful views over wooded parkland northwards to the river Forth and Fife. Our Harris suite on the first floor (for four) comprises two en-suite bedrooms (a double and a twin), and your very own private sitting room/breakfast room.

Each suite is individual yet beautifully appointed with the highest standard of furnishing and can be booked for a stay of one night or for as long as you may require.

Parkhead House combines the freedom and flexibility of a self-catering cottage combined with the traditional welcome of a bed and breakfast. Those travelling with children, visiting to enjoy the great outdoors, or bringing the family pet can relax knowing that they are welcome to the use of the cottage gardens, BBQ area and laundry during their stay.

Each beautiful bedroom is en-suite, has tea/coffee making facilities, Freeview TV, radio alarm, hairdryer, towels, bathrobes, and toiletries.

We welcome up to two well behaved and supervised dogs to share your stay with us. (For some dates, a small extra charge of £10.00 per room applies). You will find both our front and rear gardens are fenced off and safe and there are many lovely dog walking routes available right on our doorstep.

Opposite Parkhead House are fantastic woodland walks. These pass through the woods by their own lake and our historic curling pond. There are many miles of walks but only 500m from the cottage you will find a large open field where you can watch your dog run freely around! (It is used in summer Saturdays for mini highland games so please be more careful then) but it is a wonderful place for some ball chasing.

Our back garden gate leads you directly to over 150 acres of deer park and connection on the John Muir Way long distance walking route, so if you fancy being out and off road all day it's right there. While in the deer park, please keep your dog on a lead as we don't want any stress for the deer or sheep. There are also two water reservoirs near the cottage so just be careful if open water is an attraction!
