Sheena Lamond - Pumpherston Pond

We caught up with Sheena to hear about her entry of Pumpherston Pond.

About the competition

The #MyWestLothian competition was launched to help encourage visitors and locals alike to show what West Lothian means to them. The winner of the competition would feature prominently on the front of our upcoming guide, as well as receiving an excellent photography tuition morning at Five Sisters Zoo to further develop their skills.

About the entry

When and where did you take the photograph?

The picture is of Pumpherston Pond. Where you can see the small bridge in the photo is also the 16th green of Pumpherston Golf Club.

It was taken on Easter Sunday last year, 1st April 2018.

What inspired you to take the photograph?

I was born and brought up in Pumpherston and have many a happy memory growing up and walking round the pond. It’s peaceful, serene, ever changing, watch Jock and Jenny (our local swans, who’ve lovingly had that name all my life), watch the ducks, it’s my favourite walk and a place I love to be.

Thanks Sheena!
