#MyWestLothian Winner

The #MyWestLothian competition was launched to help encourage visitors and locals alike to show what West Lothian means to them.

The winner of the competition would feature prominently on the front of the printed guide, as well as receiving an excellent photography tuition morning at Five Sisters Zoo to further develop their skills.

John Cuthberts entry of the view of Linlithgow Palace was chosen as the winner of the #MyWestLothian Competition.

The judges were particularly impressed with how the image showcased West Lothian’s cultural heritage within it's open green spaces. 

Speaking about his entry, John said “The image means something really special for me …the intention of watching the sun rise behind the fabulous Linlithgow Palace but mother nature had other ideas and presented me with some truly beautiful fog...As I waited patiently for it to lift I was engaged by so many wonderful passers by...The entry above is just one image taken today and I hope it conveys what a truly beautiful morning it was and how wonderful life can be even during our darkest of days...”
