Harrison Robbie - Torphichen Preceptory

We caught up with Harrison about their entry to the photography competition to see what inspired them to take the picture.

About the competition

The #MyWestLothian competition was launched to help encourage visitors and locals alike to show what West Lothian means to them. The winner of the competition will receive shopping vouchers for The Centre Livingston and a chance to have their work publicly displayed.

The Centre

The Centre is Scotland’s leading retail destination with over 155 shops and restaurants.

About the entry

When and where did you take the photograph?

Well Harrison has a few photos of the Preceptory although this one was taken specifically for the competition. It was taken on the 10th September I think, he'd hoped to catch a photo of it in the mist but he was at a birthday party that day!

Where can we see more of Harrisons work?

As he's only 8 he doesn't have an online presence, though he came 3rd in the UK Rotary Young Photographer award last year with his photo of the kelpies.

He'll be selling prints at this year's Xmas market in Torphichen.

Torphichen Preceptory

The tower and transepts of a church built by the Knights Hospitaller of the Order of St John of Jerusalem in the 13th century, much altered.
