On Saturday 29th October, in celebration of the fantastic Autumn Winter 11 fashion offering at Livingston Designer Outlet this season, the centre brought fashion to life for the first time ever with professional models and members of the local community becoming model mannequins for the day.
The event coincided with the peak weekend of the year for Autumn Winter fashion sales at Livingston Designer Outlet, with twelve shows taking place in the shop windows throughout the day.Catwalk Model Management and Events teamed up with the centre to offer people from the local community the opportunity to become a mannequin for a day, styled in some of the best fashion from over 100 leading high street and designer brands all at up to 60 per cent less.
Karen Stewart, Centre Manager at Livingston Designer Outlet, says: “The last weekend in October traditionally marks the centre’s peak autumn shopping weekend. The Mannequin for a Day event was a great way of bringing fashion to life. It gave shoppers the chance to take part in the event and an exciting spectacle for people to enjoy on the day.”
Local model for the day, Shelley McGuigan, says: “When I found out I was coming to McArthurGlen’s Livingston Designer Outlet to become a Mannequin I couldn’t wait to be styled in the amazing Autumn Winter fashion on offer here in the centre by professionals. It’s been a brilliant experience and I will definitely be coming back to snap up some wardrobe essentials.”
Shows ran throughout the day on Saturday 29th October, with the first kicking off at 11am where models posed in the shop windows in the latest Autumn Winter 11 fashion throughout the outlet.
