This weekend in West Lothian
The weekend is finally here! For those of you who have the weekend off and are looking for inspiration, here’s a roundup of what’s going on right across the area.

Saturday is the home to even more great music, kicking off with Pie and a Pint at 1pm. Folk music workshops will take place at 15.00 and 16.30, and designed for those budding musicians and songwriters. Tickets are available from Torphichen Inn, available for the weekend or individual shows – it’s up to you. Music and drinks right on our doorsteps... What’s not to like? Click here for more details.
Over in Linlithgow, the Canal Fun Day takes place on Sunday. The fun starts at 13:00, and features the popular cardboard Boat Race. The LUCS Fun day is always a great opportunity to see the hard work that the society do throughout the year. Short trips will be available on the boats and a free ferry will operate between both sides! Light refreshments will be available on site, or why not visit one of the array of excellent cafes/ restaurants that are available in Linlithgow?
Well know children’s musician Nick Cope is coming to Linlithgow for a show for the kids (and big kids!) alike. Taking place at Longcroft Hall at 14.30 on Saturday, it’s sure to be a fun afternoon of sing-along music.
Don’t forget, we’re running an excellent competition for a free family ticket to visit On Location: Blackness, together with Historic Scotland. All you need to do is visit our Facebook page (facebook.com/visitwestlothian), like the post and you’ll be in for a chance to win!
Many of these events are only fifteen minutes away from Edinburgh city centre, so why not escape the crowds and have some fun this weekend?
