Spring in West Lothian

There is lots to see and do in West Lothian this Easter

With Scotland finally starting to welcome Spring, there are lots of fun and exciting ways to spend your Easter holidays in West Lothian!

Five Sisters Zoo in West Calder now has a brand new Leaping Lemurs soft play open from Monday 19th March!  Head along for a fun filled day seeing a variety of lively and exciting rescue animals, and enjoy lunch in the new cafe situated within the soft play building open to both zoo and soft play visitors.

For the little ones, Almond Valley will be hosting their teddy bears picnic during weekdays until the 23rd, so head along with your favourite furry friend for some afternoon tea and games.  If you fancy something a little more Easter-themed, Almond Valley are also running Easter EGGcitement from 24th March to 16th April!  Race around the farm armed with a pencil and clue sheet collecting clues and searching for hidden eggs that could win you a prize!  Spring is also the time for baby animals to make an appearance, so you may well hear the cheaps and bleats of newly born animals during your visit!

For anyone aged 4-18years who fancies something a little different and daring, Star Harmonies are welcoming you to attend a circus skills workshop based on the hit movie of 2017; The Greatest Showman!  Roll up, roll up, this all day class runs from 10am-4pm on Monday 26th March at Polbeth Church and is a perfect chance to try something new, or even showcase skills you have already learned!

The Military Museum Scotland in Wilkieston is also hosting an event which celebrates 100 years of the RAF.  Held across the weekend of Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April, the museum will be hosting a special visiting RAF exhibition made up of military vehicles and a mobile military museum to name a few, and will take place in the Legion Hall.  This event will be well worth a visit if you can make it along this Spring!

We hope you have an eggcellent Easter holiday in West Lothian, and don't forget to check out the rest of our website for many more things to see and do!
