West Lothian's premier arts venue.

A stunning building with a 296 seat auditorium at its heart, a gallery, art studio, pottery, with several multi-function rooms for hire as well as a stylish bar and bistro.  The venue offers a continuous programme of professional arts performances, community performances, exhibitions, classes and events. 

Howden Park Centre reopened in June 2009 following a major redevelopment.  In 2010 the building was awarded ‘Building of the Year’ accolade from the Edinburgh Architectural Association.

Fully accessible for those with limited mobility additional facilities include ramps, a lift, auditorium seating. 
Hearing Induction Loop available. 
Assist dogs welcome. 
Booster seats available for children in the auditorium (free of charge)

10 minute walk from Livingston Shopping Centre and bus terminal.
Head along Almondvale Boulevard following the pedestrian signs for the Civic Centre. Walking past the entrance to the Civic Centre use the pedestrian crossing on Howden South Road, follow the path ahead through Howden Park to the Centre

Bus 
10 minute walk from the bus terminal at Livingston Shopping Centre. The closest bus stops are on Howden East and at the entrance to St John's Hospital, with both a 2 minute walk away.

Edinburgh Waverley - Livingston North
Journey time from: 23 mins (25min walk to Howden Park Centre)

Glasgow Queen Street - Livingston North
Journey time from: 41 mins (25min walk to Howden Park Centre)

There are not many taxis available, however, you can pre-book a taxi or private car hire.

Car
From Edinburgh: M8, come off at Livingston (j3). Slip road to dual carriageway (A899).

From Glasgow: M8, come off at Livingston (j3). 1st exit off roundabout onto the dual
carriageway (A899)


Dual Carriageway to Howden Park Centre
A899 towards town centre exit Almondvale junction - exit marked Craigsfarm South (brown HPC tourist sign).
At the bottom of the slip get into the right hand lane, take the 2nd exit from the roundabout.
Left hand lane at the lights and follow the brown HPC sign.
Through the roundabout to the next one (Civic Centre on your left) and take 3rd exit.
Turn left at the next Howden Park Centre sign (into Toronto Avenue). Left into Howden Park.
Follow the road to the end.
