West Lothian Family History Society

The West Lothian Family History Society was founded to help those who are interested in researching family history and genealogy across West Lothian.

This voluntary based organisation is a great starting point for anyone interested in Scottish Ancestry.

The Society has its meetings at lanthorn on the 1st Tuesday of every month from September to June between 7.00 and 9.00pm when we have speakers or run research groups and help for our members.

We offer a drop-in service from the Local History Library, 1st floor of the Linlithgow Partnership Centre every Wednesday and Friday from 11am - 3pm each week.

We also offer a drop in service at  our advice centre based within Lanthorn Library on Mondays between 10.00 and 3.00 and also Thursdays between 11.00 and 4.00

You can join the Family History Society for just £10 per year (£12 for overseas) and benefit from the following:

- Sharing information and expertise

If you have a particular interest like military or royalty, we can put you in contact with some of our members who are experts on these subjects.
