It might still be chilly outside, but in the teddy bear woods the weather is always warm and cosy!
On weekday afternoons in January, February and March you can bring along your favourite teddy bear, doll or other soft toy for a special woodland picnic at Almond Valley Heritage Centre, where there will be plenty of games, camping adventures and lots of other exciting things to explore!
Once the picnic is over and the teddy bears get sleepy, it is time to tip-toe next door and indulge in a scrumptious afternoon tea, where you will find a delightful selection of sandwiches, savouries and a delicious array of cakes for the grown-ups, while the little ones can enjoy their very own tiered platter of dainty, tasty nibbles.
Afternoon tea must be booked in advance, but once it is booked you can also enjoy free entry to the farm for all the family!
Almond Valley is situated just two miles away from Junction 3 of the M8, and is clearly signposted with a series of brown roadsigns that lead you along the A705. Parking is free and plentiful onsite.
Livingston North Railway Station is situated less than a mile from the heritage centre and is linked by footpaths, taxis and buses. Please make use of the Traveline Scotland website for more information on bus numbers and timetables.
