Five Sisters Zoo
    • Bigger and Brighter than last year, we would like to invite you to experience the Zoo at night as you’ve never seen it before….

      Thousands of lights illuminating enclosures, trees and plants creating what we believe to be a truly magical Christmas experience. Wander through the Lost Kingdom, spot the wolves and lions, Santa and his reindeer and enjoy the tranquillity of the Japanese Garden. This year there is also a new ice rink and festive market.

      Tickets will be available to purchase on-line, week commencing the 17th September and this year promises to be even bigger and brighter than last year.

      Price: Adults £12.95   Children 3 – 15 years £7.50   Infants 1 – 2 years £2.50.  All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Babies 0 – 11 months are free and don’t need a ticket.

      Leaping Lemurs Soft Play will also open and children are welcome to enjoy a 30 minute shot on the frame for an additional £1.


      The official light switch on will be on Saturday 10th November, open on Sunday the 11th, then each Friday and Saturday in November and every night in December (apart from the 11th) up to and including the 23rd December from 6 - 9pm.

    • The zoo is located about half a mile from the A71.

      By Train
      The nearest train station to the Zoo is West Calder which links to Glasgow Central and Waverley Station and operates a reliable and frequent service during peak times.
      If you are planning to travel by train, five sisters are happy to pick you up and return you to West Calder Train Station, at no charge, if the mini bus is available. Please call on the morning of your visit before travel, to advise of your arrival time and check the availability of the minibus.

      By Bus

      First Bus is the main bus company with routes along the A71 linking Polbeth and West Calder to Livingston Town Centre. Visitors travelling by bus from Edinburgh would have to change at Livingston Bus Station.

      If the minibus is available then Five Sisters would be happy to pick you up from Livingston Bus Station and return you there at the end of your visit. Please call on the morning of your visit before travel, to advise of your arrival time and check the availability of the minibus.
